Traditionally, DBAs prefer to use their own methods to manage and monitor Oracle Databases. They write scripts, customise 3rd party tools, or create cronjobs. In this session, I'll explain why Oracle Enterprise Manager "Cloud Control" (EM13c) is the right solution to manage and monitor Oracle Databases even for all DBAs. I'll speak about the top features of EM13c such as performance pages, patch management, configuration management and out of the box monitoring for Oracle databases. I’ll also provide some tips and tricks that will help to use EM13c effectively with minimum effort.

Gokhan Atil is a senior database administrator who has hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and NoSQL databases. He is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for EBS R12, Oracle 10g and 11g. He is an expert in Oracle Enterprise Manager.Gokhan is founding member and vice president of Turkish Oracle User Group (TROUG). He presented at various international conferences including Oracle Open World.
