Ever since the advent of Business Intelligence tools, there were ample expectations and promises about the functionalities these tools can provide for the end users. Recent technology advances which led to popularization and broader usage of Machine Learning, has also led to integration of Business Intelligence and Machine Learning as well as functionalities that are finally fulfilling old Business Intelligence promises.

Ljiljana Perica, author
Ljiljana Perica has graduated Telecommunications and Informatics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, and acquired Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. She began her career in the INA (Croatian leading oil company) as a system analyst and application designer / programmer, and more than 20 years ago joined Oracle Corporation as a Presales Consultant for Business Intelligence and development tools and technologies. She is currently working as a Solution Engineer, and a specialist for the Business Analytics and Big Data solutions.
